Flying the Portuguese and Spanish flags
to represent the Lusitano and Andalusian horses of those countries.
Thank you Romsey Show for having us in the Main
Ring
and to Accord Appointments for their sponsorship.
It may look as though I am dressed like an elf but
this is in fact the old traditional costume of the Portuguese Campinos.
These are the herdsmen and grooms that look after the cattle and
horses.
The hat, made of towelling material, serves as a very good sponge for
those sweltering hot, sweaty days in Portugal. You can wrap your
sandwiches up in it too.
It also gets borrowed by Father Christmas's helpers!
