CENTENARY
SHOW
The 2006 Show will
certainly be one to remember, for as well as being our Centenary Show we had
to change the venue from New Park to the Beaulieu Estate at the very last
minute - the afternoon before. Everyone involved was marvelous and I would
once again like to thank all those who helped to achieve this. As it was our
Centenary we had many visitors from abroad, including from Australia, Belgium,
Denmark. Finland, France, Holland and Sweden, and we even had four ponies from
Holland competing. Shirley Young, Suzanne Kempe and Trudy Nineham organised a
Pageant that took place on the Saturday and Sunday that was very entertaining,
and also Sarah Green's very successful NFPEC Rural Riders team put on a
display. On the Saturday evening there was a social evening at Brockenhurst
that was a great success with more people than expected turning up. Also on
the Saturday we had Grade Testing for Dressage and Jumping plus Mare Grading
and Colt Inspections. Special Centenary plaques, kindly sponsored by the
Willoway Stud, were awarded to the winner of each class and commemorative
glass tumblers were available to order. There was a special issue of the
catalogue featuring colour photographs of past double and triple supreme
champions, and with the four time winners Peveril Peterborough and Fijal
Prelude on the covers.
